Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands-on treatment approach used by physical therapists to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. It includes but is not limited to soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization and manual traction. Manual therapy helps with reducing stress and improving flexibility of the muscle.

Cupping & Fire Cupping
Cupping is a traditional therapy used in various forms of alternative medicine, dating back thousands of years, particularly in Chinese, Middle Eastern, and Egyptian cultures. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction is believed to promote healing by improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, and loosening tight muscles. At Big City PT we use following methods of suction. Dry Cupping: Uses suction alone. A vacuum is created by heating the air inside the cup or using a mechanical pump to remove air. Fire Cupping: Involves heating the inside of the cup with fire to create a vacuum before placing it on the skin.

Muscle Stretching
Muscle stretching is a physical activity designed to elongate the muscle fibers and improve flexibility, range of motion, and overall function of the muscles and joints.

Graston Technique
The Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy that uses specialized, stainless steel instruments to help treat soft tissue injuries and dysfunction. It is a type of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and is commonly used by physical therapists.

Soft Tissue Mobilization
Soft Tissue Mobilization is a hands-on therapeutic technique used by physical therapists to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and reduce muscle tension by applying targeted pressure and manipulation to the soft tissues.

Ultrasound
Physical therapy ultrasound is a treatment modality that uses high-frequency sound waves to promote healing and manage pain in soft tissues and joints. It is a common component of rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing recovery from injuries or chronic conditions.

Balance Retraining
Balance Retraining is a physical therapy service designed to improve stability, coordination, and strength through customized exercises, helping individuals regain confidence and prevent falls.

Infrared Therapy
Infrared Therapy is a pain-relieving treatment that uses deep-penetrating infrared light to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation in injured tissues.

Electric Stimulation
Electric Stimulation is a therapeutic technique that uses controlled electrical currents to stimulate muscles, reduce pain, and promote healing by improving circulation and muscle function.

Kinesiotaping
Kinesiotaping is a therapeutic technique that uses flexible, adhesive tape to support muscles and joints, reduce pain and swelling, and enhance movement and recovery during physical therapy.

Injury Prevention
Injury Prevention is a service that focuses on assessing movement patterns, strengthening muscles, and improving flexibility to reduce the risk of injury and enhance overall physical performance.

Strengthening and conditioning program
The Strengthening and Conditioning Program is a tailored service designed to improve muscle strength, endurance, and overall fitness, enhancing performance and supporting injury recovery or prevention.
